Yavapai College Career

Mrs. Galde started at the College in 1969 as a Founding English Faculty.  She faced the many challenges that all of the founding faculty experienced --develop and expand a program at the newly-opened College.  She persevered and taught Grammar & Usage, Intermediate English, Intro to Exposition, Intro to Literature, and Vocabulary & Spelling.

Mrs. Galde was an inspiration to her students and received the Outstanding Teaching Award in 1973.  She retired in 1979 and was recognized for her many contributions to the College and given Emeritus Faculty status.
