Yavapai College Career

Dr. Glen Peterson started at the College in 1973 in a split-position teaching art and doing graphic design work.  He eventually was able to teach art classes full-time, in particular: graphic design, painting, art history and a color theory class which he developed.

From 1979-1989 he was the Art Department Chair.  Over the years he worked on several committees one of which worked to reorganize the General Education program.  He was a Faculty Senator 1987/88. Another committee he was on worked to establish a strong academic art program so that art students could advance to university programs.  Glen was the Honors Program Coordinator for three years and a Faculty Advisor to the student art publication, Threshold, for many years.

Dr. Peterson retired from full-time teaching in 1998 and received Emeritus Faculty recognition April, 2000.
