Lauren McCrea was a faculty member at Yavapai College from 2001-2020.

She was instrumental in fostering student success and building the Graphic Design program through service to the college and the Advanced Placement Assessment of Art and Design. Many of Lauren's students have had successful careers in graphic design and other industries. Beyond being a great instructor, Lauren was a phenomenal mentor who built her students into being thoughtful humans. During Lauren's time managing the YC art gallery, the Daily Courier named it the best art gallery in Prescott.

Additionally, Lauren helped to build the Art Department's Experience the Arts event for local high school students. Lauren was always involved with local high schools and helped establish our annual high school exhibition. Her efforts in imagining a creative and engaging Graphic Design curriculum have helped strengthen the CTE offerings and workforce development of a comprehensive ART department. The ART department thrives today because of Lauren's impeccable leadership and vision.

The College Seal was adopted in Sept. 1969.
