Carleen Ellis started teaching full-time in the Nursing department in 1976. She taught numerous Nursing courses over her career at YC.
Her last position which she held for several years was that of First Year Coordinator. The Coordinator worked with the Nursing faculty to resolve any issues affecting the first year students, managed clinical placement of students across the district, mentored and monitored clinical instructors, and monitored the effectiveness of exams.
Carleen was also very active in the healthcare field in Yavapai County and in service organizations.

Mrs. Ellis retired in 1991 and was honored with Emeritus Faculty status in February, 1997.
